Fontes Historiae Africanae (Sources of African History)
The Sources of African History is an international editing and publication project producing a series of critical editions of the sources for the history of 'sub-Saharan Africa' (ie Africa south of the Mediterranean lands). The range of material being published includes historical texts; collections of documents assembled to address historical topics; and reissues of classic historical texts only available in print in inadequate editions. Sources include printed, manuscript, oral or mixed. The primary focus is on sources of the earlier periods.
