Professor Seth Schwartz (Jewish Theological Seminary of America) and Professor Fergus Millar (Oxford) will lead a public debate on the proposition that archaeological evidence demonstrates a difference between the Judaism of those who used the synagogues of late-antique Palestine and the Judaism of the rabbis.
