British Academy: The UK's National Academy for the Humanities and Social Sciences
Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust Fund
The British Academy administers funds on behalf of the Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust, to support travel costs relating to a research project. Awards are particularly aimed at recent postdoctoral scholars.
Level of grant: In general, awards for travel costs do not exceed £1,000. However, an application to this fund for travel costs may be combined with an application for a Small Research Grant for other costs, up to a total of £7,500.
Method of application: Applications must be submitted via e-GAP2, the Academy's electronic grant application system.
For applications deadlines and details of the award timetable please see deadlines
In cases where an applicant seeks both travel and other costs, a single application should be submitted. Applicants should not complete two separate applications when submitting a dual application to the Cassel fund for travel and to the Small Research Grants fund for other elements of a project.
