Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust Fund

The British Academy administers funds on behalf of the Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust, to support travel costs relating to a research project. Awards are particularly aimed at recent postdoctoral scholars.

Level of grant: In general, awards for travel costs do not exceed £1,000. Applications to this fund for travel costs cannot be submitted separately from the Small Research Grant

Successful applications for the award of a BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grant with relevant characteristics: early career scholar with programme of research including travel overseas, will be considered for the award of funding from the Sir Ernest Cassel Trust fund. Application cannot be made separately just for support from the Cassel Trust.

Method of application:  Applications must be submitted via e-GAP2, the Academy's electronic grant application system, by applying for the BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grant.

There is no separate application just for support through the Cassel fund for travel.
