For UK residents, an application to this Fund for travel costs may be combined (on the same form) with an application for a Small Research Grant for other costs, up to a total of £7,500. Applicants based outside the UK are not eligible to apply for additional support, but are welcome to apply for a grant up to the normal limit of £1,000.

Duration of award

Awards are normally tenable for up to 12 months.

How to apply

Applications should be made on the standard British Academy Small Research Grant form. Applicants in any doubt about their eligibility or any other aspect of their application are advised to contact the Research Grants Department at the Academy, where staff will be pleased to assist.
