Special Joint Project Programmes: France

The Academy has for many years operated agreements with two French research institutions, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the Maison des Science de l'Homme.

Important Note:

The Academy and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique have agreed to terminate their current agreement providing support for joint projects.  No further awards will be made under this scheme.  Any UK applicants wishing to apply for support for work in France or with French colleagues should apply for a Small Research Grant.

Maison des Sciences de l'Homme

This scheme is aimed at scholars who are interested either in initiating or participating in British-French collaborative projects themselves, or in nominating a visiting scholar to come to the UK. The project must involve scholars or activities connected to the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme.

Level of award: travel expenses and maintenance allowance.
