Funding for International Activities
The British Academy offers funding opportunities for UK scholars and partners overseas to engage in international collaborative research in the humanities and social sciences. The Academy also offers support for UK scholars seeking to undertake a period of research abroad and for early career scholars from other countries seeking to undertake research in the UK.

International Partnership and Mobility Scheme: Awards which support the development of research partnerships between the UK and other areas of the world where research excellence would be strengthened by new, innovative initiatives and links.
Newton International Fellowships: Fellowships for overseas postdoctoral scholars to undertake research in the UK
Newton Advanced Fellowships: One or two-year fellowships providing overseas researchers from the partner countries of Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and Turkey with the opportunity to develop their research strengths and capabilities through training, collaboration and reciprocal visits with a partner in the UK.
Newton Mobility Grants: One-year grants helping strengthen the research capacity of researchers from the partner countries of Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey and also Vietnam by providing opportunities for overseas researchers to establish and develop collaborations with UK counterparts around a defined research project.
British Academy-ASEASUK/BASAS ECAF Visiting Fellowships: Short fellowships to make research visits to field-centres in Asia operated by the European Consortium for Asian Field Study (ECAF). Administered by Association of South-East Asian Studies in the United Kingdom (ASEASUK) and British Association for South Asian Studies (BASAS).
Bilateral Agreements: The Academy has a number of special bilateral agreements with partner institutions to support collaborative research with particular countries.

Special Funds: private funds which support research on and travel to various countries around the world.
Small Research Grants: Small Research Grants may be used to support work in any country.
Postdoctoral Fellowships: Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to EEA nationals and scholars of any nationality who have completed a doctorate at a UK university.
