Taiwan: Joint Projects with Partner Academies
National Science Council
The Academy and the National Science Council of Taiwan operate a scheme of support for joint projects between British and Taiwanese scholars. Two awards, each of up to £8,000 per project, are available each year.
Level of award: up to £4,000 for the British partner, and an equivalent sum for the National Science Council for the Taiwanese partner.
Period of award: projects may span a period of up to two years.
Applicants should allow at least six months from the closing date for applications to the proposed start of their visit.
Method of application: Applications must be submitted via e-GAP2, the Academy's electronic grant application system.

Academia Sinica
The Academy's Agreement with the Academia Sinica, which provides support for individual research visits to Taiwan, also offers support for scholars participating in collaborative projects, seminars, and workshops.
Level of award: travel and maintenance expenses.
Period of award: visits totalling up to two person-months.
Applicants should allow at least six months from the closing date for applications to the proposed start of their visit.

Individual visits to Taiwan
The Academy's Agreement with the Academia Sinica in Taiwan provides for individual visits to Taiwan, and a quota for joint projects with colleagues at the AS.
