Neil Ker Memorial Fund

The object of this fund, established by the family and friends of Neil R Ker, FBA, is to promote the study of Western medieval manuscripts, in particular those of British interest. Applications are invited from scholars of any nationality, engaged on original research intended for publication. Applicants should be of postdoctoral status, or have comparable experience. Normally grants will only be given for monographs, secondary works, editions or studies of documents, texts or illustrations, that include analysis of the distinctive features of original manuscripts. Awards are offered to support any aspect of research, including travel and publication.

Level of grant: Awards do not normally exceed £2,000
Duration of grant:
Grants are tenable for 12 months at a time. Re-applications for subsequent phases of research may be considered.
Method of application:  Applications must be submitted via e-GAP2, the Academy's electronic grant application system.
