BISI 2012 Annual Membership

BISI has instituted a Corporate Membership category for corporate and institutional supporters of our work. Please contact the BISI Administrator if you are interested in this corporate membership. (The corporate rate is £100 per annum.)

The individual membership forms are downladable here [34.8 KB PDF] with a standing order form is downloadable here. [43KB PDF]. These forms can be used for new members and renewals.

Current membership arrangements for 2012 are as follows:

  • There is one basic membership fee for all - £20. All members will be full members and entitled to vote at the AGM.
  • Student membership is still very advantageous, as we wish to encourage student involvement in BISI. There is a world-wide student membership fee for £10 without a Journal.
  • There is a choice of journals: IRAQ (annual) and/or the International Journal of Contemporary Iraqi Studies (IJCIS) (three issues per year). Please select the journal(s) of your choice.
  • If you are a UK member and pay UK tax, BISI can reclaim tax on your basic membership fee. Please sign the Gift Aid portion of the form, if applicable, to give the BISI extra support. We do not claim tax on student membership.
  • We are offering an annual discount of £2 to members with UK bank accounts who pay by Standing Order. A form is available here [12.2KB PDF] . You may also set up your standing order directly with your own bank via internet or telephone banking of by sending this form to your bank - please do notify the BISI adminsitrator either via email or via the membership form. This helps BISI by reducing our membership administration. If you have questions regarding this matter, please contact the Administrator.
  • If you are an overseas member, you can pay either by credit card (the sterling amount is processed) or by international transfers to our Barclays account free of bank charges and details are noted on the membership form.
