Meetings of The Society for Libyan Studies

The Society's lectures will be held in the lecture theatre of the British Academy, at 10 Carlton House Terrace, London, S.W. 1.

Members based in the United Kingdom will receive invitations to each of these lectures.

Non-members are welcome to attend.

Wednesday 4th May 2005 at 5:30 p.m. The Olwen Brogan Memorial Lecture

Professor Savino di Lernia, University of Roma La Sapienza: “Cultural Landscapes and Local Knowledge: A new Vision of Saharan Archaeology”

Tuesday 4th October 2005 at 5:30 p.m.

Dr Nicholas Drake, King’s College, London: “From Gerbils to Crocodiles and Back: Past Climate Change in the Libyan Fezzan”

Monday 5th December 2004 at 5:00 p.m. following the Society's 35th Annual General Meeting

Mr Paul Bennett, Canterbury Archaeological Trust, and Professor Andrew Wilson, University of Oxford: “The Society’s Excavations at Euesperides”
