Africa's Neglected Chronic Disease Burden
On 16-17 February 2009, the British Academy, the Royal Society and the Ghana Academy of Sciences held a conference in Accra, Ghana, entitled 'Africa's Neglected Epidemic: Multidisciplinary Research, Intervention and Policy for Chronic Disease'. The conference arose from an award made under the British Academy International Partnership scheme to Dr Ama de-Graft Aikins (University of Cambridge) and Dr Daniel Arhinful (Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research), further details of which can be found here
