British Academy: The UK's National Academy for the Humanities and Social Sciences
Area Panels
Area Panels of experts exist to advise on strategy and potential developments for regions where the Academy has few or no institutional links. The Academy has 7 Panels.
The China Panel was first established in 1980 to administer the joint British Academy-Economic and Social Research Council programmes with China.
Other Panels were established from 2005 onwards, to provide guidance on developing relations, establishing activities, and assessing applications concerned with the regions in question.
