Previous Panel Events
The Panel organized a conference on Taiwan and the East Asian Region, held at the British Academy and the School of Oriental and African Studies on 12 and 13 March 2010.
The meeting examined a range of different aspects of Taiwan’s engagement with East Asia, examining the historical context, regionalism and its impact on the Taiwanese economy, questions of culture and identity, and aspects of labour and migration.
The conference concluded with a review of recent developments in Taiwan research and opportunities for future collaboration. The meeting was funded jointly by the British Academy and the National Science Council of Taiwan.
