The result of the referendum on the UK's membership of the EU highlighted, for example, the need for a comprehensive reflection on questions related to identity, belonging, governance and populism in the UK and the EU. In this context, our activities are geared towards shedding light on changing sentiments within and towards Europe, informing the negotiations regarding the UK's future relationship with the EU, including on issues pertaining to research and innovation, as well as exploring the challenges related to the UK's withdrawal from the EU.

More broadly, our activities aim to underscore the importance of, and further enhance, research collaboration and mobility between the UK and other European countries.
