Celebrating the City - Mexico City through History and Culture
The British Academy, 10 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AH

About this Event
Mexico City is a city of contrasts, of change and tradition, which has long captured the imagination of chroniclers and poets alike. The British Academy and Mexican Embassy to the UK have organised an event to celebrate this diversity, tracing the history of the city from its pre-Columbian origins to its transition into modernity, whilst exploring its rich cultural heritage. Seven speakers will make short presentations about aspects of the history and culture of this fascinating city.
