British Academy celebrates international Women's Day

The British Academy marked International Women's Day with an event celebrating women in the humanities and social sciences. Six women Fellows of the Academy spoke about the writers, artists, law scholars, economists, social reformers and campaigners who had inspired them including: Chrystal Macmillan, Beatrice Webb FBA, Rebecca West, Germaine Greer, Babara Wootton and Nancy Spero.
The talks were followed by questions and discussion, chaired by Marina Warner FBA. An audio recording of the event will be available on the Academy's website shortly.
