British Academy Conference: Valuing the Year Abroad

On 27 March 2012, the British Academy held an international conference that sought to examine the current state of study abroad programmes in the UK and the main issues facing British universities, and the state of study abroad programmes overseas.

Serving as a platform to launch a position statement on the issue, the conference brought together experts from the UK and other countries to discuss the importance of, and need for, studying abroad.
