Proceedings of the British Academy

Since 1905 this series has provided a unique record of British scholarship in the humanities and social sciences. It now publishes themed volumes of essays that drive scholarship forward and are landmarks in their field.

ISSN 0068-1202
Volumes are published by Oxford University Press. Some older volumes are available from Oxbow Books.


Proceedings Volumes 112-199 are included in British Academy Scholarship Online (BASO). Newly published volumes will be added to BASO three times a year.

Articles published in Volumes 51-111 may be downloaded as PDF files from an open access archive.
