There is no single solution to the challenges presented in attempting to understand global (dis)order. How do complex international systems contribute to the creation or disruption of order on a global scale? What impact does the changing nature of societies – their economic, social, political, institutional, and cultural contexts – have on the forces of ordering? What kind of impact do different interpretative frameworks have on the shared experience and understanding of global (dis)order?

The thirteen new research projects supported under this programme bring together innovative, interdisciplinary, and international ideas from across the humanities and social sciences to offer valuable insights and perspectives of relevance to the questions of global (dis)order.

This programme is funded by the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
