This interdisciplinary research is driven by an urge to account for the complexity of transitional justice in the everyday in Colombia. It aims to build up an understanding of the specificity of 'transitional justice' in the Cauca region, as this flows from the implementation of the 'Justice and Peace Law', the legal framework that, since 2005, has governed paramilitaries' demobilisation. The project aims at originality in a field dominated by political scientists and legal scholars, suggesting that the analysis of security should be underpinned by an anthropology of justice.
