Note: Women not to be excluded

Disciple Say briefly why it is said that women are not to be excluded from general councils simply against their will.

Master It is said that this is because of the oneness of the faith of men and women, which affects all, and in which there is neither male nor female, according to the Apostle: In the new man there is 'neither male nor female' (Colossians 3) [rather, Galatians 3:28]. And therefore, where the wisdom, goodness or power of a woman is necessary to the discussion of the faith (which is to be discussed especially in a general council), the woman is not to be excluded from the general council.
