Multilingualism And The Internet

Speakers were invited to explore questions of language and linguistics in flux: what are the opportunities and challenges of a growing world wide web and its associated technologies? How has the internet enabled new ways for language users to interact? What impact is this having on the languages themselves?

The panel discussion was chaired by Prof Shalom Lappin FBA, Kings College London, and panellists included Prof Louisa Sadler, University of Essex, Dr Matthew Stuttle, Google and Dr Ivan Panović, University of Oxford.
