International Forum Series

The British Academy’s International Forum Series brings together policymakers with academic experts, civil society and business representatives from the UK and overseas, to explore pressing issues of international concern. It draws on the experise within the Academy's Fellowship and on leading research in the humanities and the social sciences to provide a deep, contextualised analysis of topical policy issues. Roundtable discussions take place under the Chatham House Rule.

International forum topics have ranged in focus from the state of the Chinese economy to the role of human rights in statebuilding to strengthening engagement with Iran to UK-Japan relations.

The most recent forums have taken as their subjects education in conflict, North Korea and South Asian infrastructure.
