Medieval European Coinage aims to publish, in some 17 volumes, a detailed survey, primarily for the historian, of medieval coinage with a catalogue of the coins in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. The volumes, written in collaboration with foreign scholars, cover the coinages of Europe region by region in the period c.450–1500.
The Medieval European Coinage project and the Sylloge of Coins of the British Isles project are overseen by the same committee.
