British Academy Chief Executive welcomes new Education Secretary and Universities Minister

In a cabinet reshuffle, Damian Hinds MP replaces Justine Greening MP as Secretary of State for Education, while Sam Gyimah MP replaces Jo Johnson MP as Minister of State for Universities and Science.

Alun Evans, Chief Executive at the British Academy said:

“On behalf of the British Academy, I would like to congratulate both Damian Hinds MP and Sam Gyimah MP on their new roles. We look forward to working closely with all those in the Department for Education and Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to enable students in our schools, colleges and universities to develop the skills they need to fulfil their potential and secure the UK’s position as a world leader in the humanities and social science research.
