Martin Daunton retired as Professor of Economic History and Head of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Cambridge in October 2015. His most recent publication is a book on the economic governance of the world since 1933. His current project is a book on intergenerational equity, as well as continuing to work on the political economy of public finance and British economic development since the eighteenth century.
